Shredder Residues

Overview

Shredder Residues are the fractions that are generated from shredding a variety of materials (ELV, WEEE and other metallic shredder feed-stocks) after the separation of the ferrous metals. These shredder residues can be the shredder heavies or the fines. The GF United Power company GF United Power Metran is specialized in treating many kinds of shredder residues to separate and concentrate the various non-ferrous metals, the plastics, the printed circuit boards.

The treatment of shredder residues requires a combination of a large number of physical separation techniques. Specific know-how and experience is required to choose these processes and the order in which these are applied. GF United Power is processing many types of shredder residues from many companies both from within the GF United Power and from a large number of sources throughout Europe.
